| Observação: Area commonly subjected to fire. Oenocarpus found in humid locations, near water courses. Chapada formation with arboreal vegetation in the lower parts of the valleys. Soil: Laterite with ferric oxide concretions.; Palm solitary ca. 8m tall, dbh 27cm. 1st MEASURED LEAF- 12 contemporaneous leaves, 116 pinnae per side, sheath 112cm long x44cm wide, petiole 110cm long x11cm wide channeled, rachis 4.65cm long with fibers in sheath.
